Santa

This weekend, we took the kids to see, Santa.  It didn't go over too well a first.......London, started screaming , and refused to go near Santa.  Mason, was unfazed and had no problem being held by Santa, but we wanted a picture with both kids.
The 'elves' (photographers) were awesome and devised a plan.  We sat the kids together, while Santa hid behind the couch. When the picture was taken Santa, just popped up in the background.  It was genius.

Here is the end result:
(I couldn't get the picture to scan, so this is a picture of a picture, hence the poor image)

Every time, London looks at this picture she says, "Santa, tricked me!"

Last week

Last week, Mason, turned 5 months old and he FINALLY rolled over. Yay, Mason!!!  I was starting to worry about him....
I can't believe he's 5 months already!

We have also had pretty nice weather this week, so the kids and I have enjoyed playing outside.  It's nice to live somewhere where fall lasts longer than a few weeks.  I know winter is just around the corner so we will enjoy this weather as long as we can.
There are these weird cement things outside our apartment, I seriously have no idea what they are or what they are for.  London, of course loves climbing them.

Darcy, has been busy with school and also, preparing for a competition.  It's called Moot Court, and it's basically a mock criminal trial.  Last week the competition began, and Darcy and his partner won round after round. Today, was the finals and he WON!!!  We are pretty impressed that he and his partner won out of 108 other people.  But then again, he has always been good at arguing.....
Darcy is happy that he won (no monetary prize, just bragging rights) and he is glad it is over.

Halloween

We had such a fun Halloween!  This year London, was dressed as Little Bo Peep and Mason, was a Sheep.  It was totally my idea for them to dress up as this combo, and I'm sure they will hate me for it when the are older, but I loved it and they were pretty darn cute!  A big thanks to my Mom, for making London's darling costume.
We met up with some friends for trick or treating.  It was a cool night and a little rainy so we didn't stay out long.  London, loved it!!  She and her friend Charlotte said "trick or treat" at every door and then said "thank you."  They were the cutest 2 year olds ever!
London, of course was thrilled with her treats, and asked if we could go trick or treating tomorrow.
The kids were not very cooperative when it came to picture taking (they never are).  They were so much cuter in person, but here are some pictures anyway.

London loved Mason's sheep costume

She did however, love coloring on the pumpkins

about a boy

I've been noticing latley, that all my posts are mostly pictures of London, and then one shot of Mase, at the end.  We love our boy so much so this post is all about him!
Mason, is 4 months old now.  He is still such a happy baby. He is always smiling and has the cutest laugh.
He is a terrible sleeper! He wakes up every 1-2 hours at night (it's a good thing his mommy loves him).  I have been reading books and trying to figure out what the issue is, so far nothing has helped. It is so hard not knowing what to do.  It won't last forever...right?
Other than the sleeping issue Mason, is great. He has started playing with toys and grabbing things. He loves being sung to.  He loves sucking on his fingers, the more the better. He will try to stuff as many as he can in his mouth. He is very ticklish. He likes watching older kids play and will laugh out loud at them.  He loves to kick and jump, and he is super sweet and snugly.
We are so happy to have him in our family!

The Detroit Zoo

Last week we went to the Detroit Zoo. It was awesome!
It was London's first time going to the zoo. I realized how new this experience was for her when I asked, "London, do you want to go to the zoo today?" She replied, " Ya, Grandma Sue!"
By the end of the day she definitely knew what the zoo was. She loved the animals and would yell hi to them or tell them to wake up. The tiger was her favorite, even though it was asleep the whole time.
It was such a fun day, we will definitely go again.

 The sleeping tiger

 Rhinos

 Kangaroos

Prairie Dogs- they had underground tunnels that the kids could go under

 Polar Bear statue

 Seals

Our "little monkey" playing at the zoo playground

Mason, was so good (as usual), but slept through most of the fun.

Were Back!!

We are back in Michigan, which means I will try and blog again.  Not much has changed here, the shopping is as good as ever and Darcy has started his 2nd year of Law school.
London is the funniest she doesn't really remember being here last year, so to her everything is her "new house", "new nursery", "new Dora movie".  This week she met a little boy named Jaxon, she already has a friend named Jaxon, in Canada, so she started calling him "new Jaxon".
We are surprised at how quickly she has adapted to our home here.  The first few days she would ask to go to her grandparent's house, or back to Tigi's (Teagan's) house, but now she seems to be quite happy here.

We were lucky enough to have some visitors a few days after we moved back. Darcy's brother and his family stopped by on there drive home from New Brunswick.  It was so fun to see them! We missed them a lot this summer! London, had a blast playing with her cousins and I got to catch up with Ashley.

The weather has been really nice so far, so we have been spending time at the parks and pool at our apartment.  We are planning a trip soon to the Detroit Zoo, so hopefully that will be my next post!

Oh, and by the way, our Mr. Mase is already 3 months old and so happy, and handsome and humongous!!

Love, love, love this little face!

London and cousin Carter playing together

The kiddos (and daddy's) tiered out, after a fun day!

 Londy girl!

London loves doing tummy time with Mason.
